Year 5&6 go camping in the school field! |
On Friday 16th September year 6 went camping in the Red Oaks school field. They had to make their shelter and sleep in it over night. Luckily it did not rain so they did not get wet!
Despite the cold nights and warm days, they all really enjoyed it and pupils even said: “It was incredibly fun making the shelters and I would love to do it again !” Says Aleks W in year 6.
I am sure everybody would all agree as all the teachers got great feed back.
They also had to make a fire and cook food to then eat that night. The menu was hot dog sausages and beans . They had to bring in a potato and an egg but none of them were allowed to be cooked. The children had to scoop the potato out and then put the egg inside and then put it on the fire to cook. After 10 minuets, the teachers got the ‘eggato’ out and it was amazing.
