Children's Self Evaluation FormThe whole school were involved in evaluating the work of Red Oaks Primary School through children's eyes. All pupils took part in an assembly where Mrs M shared some video footage of the Radio One Big Weekend in Swindon, where many famous artists played, as well as new, up and coming artists. The Beatbullyz are from Swindon, infact one is Madame Bullimore's son, Andy. They opened on one of the Radio One Big Weekend stages and were amazing!

Mrs M was promoting unity as one of our values and asked the pupils to be involved in an evaluation of school life. Is it good, bad or better? What makes learning fun? Do they feel safe? Is the curriculum broad and balanced? Children's Self Evaluation FormThere were fourteen questions in all and the first four were to be shared as a whole school, hip hop song with the Beatbullyz.

Once all classes had shared their thoughts, a small group of children used the ideas to start the song writing process with the Beatbullyz. They then went off and wrote 'Red Oaks Rocks', which encapsulates the children's ideas and provided us all with an electric, singing extravaganza, late one Friday afternoon. Take a look at the video and photo footage to get a flavour of how we raised the roof and smiled! The words are also available so you can sing along.

Many thanks to the children and staff of Red Oaks School for the videos, sound files and photographs in this presentation.
