Celebrating Children 2018-19 - Nursery: Mrs Granger
May 19: Marlin
Today we were very lucky to have a 'special' visitor to the Nursery! Eden and her mum brought in their pet snail called Marlin. Marlin is a 'Giant African Land Snail', and we found out he is one year old.
The children were fascinated and had lots of interesting questions to ask, like 'What does he eat?', 'Where does he sleep?' and 'How big will he grow?'. Eden and her mum told us lots of interesting facts about Marlin, like his favourite food is fish food and dog biscuits! Then the children who wanted to, were allowed to hold Marlin for a little while. They washed their hands afterwards with soap, of course, because Marlin left some 'slime' on their hands! Thank you, Eden and her mum for bringing Marlin in to see us.
