Celebrating Children 2018-19 - Nursery: Mrs Granger
June 19: Busy in June
Nursery have had a busy few weeks this June. As part of Healthy Week, we enjoyed learning about healthy and unhealthy food, with the help of the story'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. Then we were able to sort the food into two groups easily! The children have continued to look for mini-beasts in the garden. Then they heard the story 'Superworm' and we talked about his amazing powers!
This Thursday we had an exciting and interesting trip to Studley Grange. We were told about the butterfly life cycle and we saw some eggs, caterpillars, as well as butterflies flying around or eating the ripe fruit. We also met an orphaned 'Joey' wallaby called Riley, a baby guinea pig and a chick. Then we had fun in the soft play area.
Then today we had a surprise visit from Batman. He had lost his cat 'Snuffles' and asked us if we could help to find and rescue him We promised to keep a look out!
What a busy few weeks!
