March 19: Mummification
We have started this term's enquiry off by exploring the process of mummification used by the Ancient Egyptians to preserve the bodies of pharaohs. We started by mummifying tomatoes and will see if this the process has preserved them when we open them back up at the end of term. We have then been exploring the fascinating history of canonic jars. Firstly, we explored what they they were used for, then we went went on to explore what they represented and why. To finish off, we used an app to show what we had learnt.
