At Red Oaks we are taught how to stay safe throughout the curriculum - whether it be when exploring the outdoors in Forest Schools, using exciting outdoor play equipment, using equipment safely in cooking/DT/PE or enjoying the outdoors in the mud and snow!
Before doing activities where we need to manage risks, we complete risk assessments with our teachers so we understand what we need to do to keep ourselves safe and why. We also have lots of regular special visitors including the Lee and Kate, our local community police officers, fire fighters, PE specialists, the Life Caravan and Ruth the Bike It Lady!
