Maths 'I Can' Targets

I can read any number up to 100.  I can put two sets together and count up to ten.
I can recognise and name fractions such as 3/5, 2/3, and 3/10

Red Oaks 'I Can'All children in the school are given a set of 'I CAN' maths targets on a target card to help him/her to make progress. Check with your child or the class teacher to find your child's I Can.
Each of your child's maths targets has links to websites that will support your child's learning. Part of your child's regular maths homework should be to use these websites. We do make computers available in school for those with no Internet access at home.
Select your child's I Can to see his/her targets and the online support activities.

These target cards are published in MS Word. If you do not have this program, save the file to your computer and then try one of the following:

  • Open whatever word processing package you have and THEN try to open the file from within your program.
  • Change the file extension from .doc to .rtf. rtf stands for rich text format and is supposedly meant to be a format that will work with any word processing package.
  • Change the file extension to .txt. .txt means a basic text file - you will definitely lose formatting with this one but if the above 2 fail, it could be worth a try still.
