Year 3 launched their new history unit with an immersive Stone Age Day. Children arrived dressed in fantastic Stone Age attire, ready to step back in time. The day began with an exploration of the three key periods of the Stone Age — the Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic — before pupils worked together to create a timeline of significant events.

The highlight of the day was meeting a real-life caveman, who brought the era to life with stories and demonstrations. To finish, the children channelled their inner prehistoric artists by creating their own cave paintings. It was a memorable start to the topic and a brilliant way to spark curiosity about life in the Stone Age.
