Autumn 2103: World Food Day 2013
What a wonderful day was enjoyed by all the children and staff at Red Oaks Primary School! Our big question this term is 'What makes the World go round?'. Therefore, the children wanted to explore how our food gets from farm to fork and how we still enjoy food from all around the world in our country. Each year group throughout the school chose a country they wanted to collect food for. There was a wide range of food from all over the world for example: curries from India, Italian pizza and selection of breads, French cheeses, English cream tea and biscuits and much more! The children were encouraged to try different food they may not have eaten before. However, many of the children did not need much encouragement at all! It was a great atmosphere and a wonderful afternoon to celebrate the different cultures and cuisine we have in our world. See all the photos here
