Elder class is a semi-formal provision led by Miss Norris.
We are supported by our wonderful teaching assistants:  Mrs K, Mrs Byers, Mrs Whittaker and Mrs Moore.

We also have a team of Communication Support Workers who interpret for our children: Mrs Hinton, Mrs Batterton and Mrs Broadhurst. We are also supported by the SBI team of Mrs Egerton and Mrs Johnston.

Elder Class offers a nurturing semi‑formal curriculum designed to support each child’s academic stage and level of personal development. We teach Maths, English and Phonics, ensuring strong foundations in core learning. Alongside this, pupils build essential social skills and emotional regulation through our PSHE curriculum and Feel It sessions. Many of our children are also supported to access mainstream classes in the afternoon, helping them apply their learning in a wider school environment while fostering confidence and independence.
